Celebrating Excellence in Kentucky Floristry

Each year, the Kentucky Florists’ Association celebrates creativity, craftsmanship, and dedication to the floral industry through a series of competitions and honors.

From hands-on design challenges to lifetime achievement awards, these recognitions highlight the best of Kentucky's floral talent, from students just starting out to seasoned professionals.

All KFA competitions and awards take place during the Annual Convention, where florists gather for three days of learning, networking, and inspiration.

The Designer of the Year Competition is KFA’s most prestigious live design event, showcasing the artistry and innovation of Kentucky’s top florists.
Competitors create designs under timed conditions and are judged on creativity, technical skill, and interpretation of the theme.

The winner earns the title of KFA Designer of the Year and goes on to represent Kentucky at state design shows and will represent KFA in  the Arkansaw Cup the next year.
